lys_mcp documentation =============================== *lys_mcp* enables other processes, such as `Claude Code `_ and the command line, to control *lys* (https://github.com/lys-devel/lys). With *lys_mcp*, Claude can execute Python commands in the lys shell and see images of lys graphs and matplotlib figures. How it works:: Claude Code ⇄ (MCP) ⇄ lys-mcp ⇄ (local socket) ⇄ lys (python -m lys --remote) ⇅ lys-remote (command line) / LysClient (Python) - *lys* accepts commands through a local socket only when it is launched with ``--remote`` option. - ``lys-mcp`` is an MCP server, which is launched by Claude Code automatically and passes the requests of Claude to lys. - ``lys-remote`` is a command line client to send commands to lys by hand. To use *lys_mcp*, go to :doc:`install` and :doc:`usage`. Source code of *lys_mcp* is opened in GitHub (https://github.com/lys-devel/lys_mcp). .. toctree:: :maxdepth: 1 :caption: Contents: install usage api
